Allies For Awakening

Meditation

Meditation is the practice of taking time to deeply look at what is true in reality. Are we really separate individuals or is there a much deeper fabric of connectedness? As we start to look through our meditation we see that we are all one and that somehow we have ‘overlooked’ this truth. If our heart burns bright for true freedom then meditation is a key ally for our path.

Breathwork

Breathwork is the practice of bringing awareness to the breath, this can be done in different ways, all implying the change of the breath’s pattern or pace. Working with the breath is an ancient practice extending to a lot of different spiritual religions. Nowadays we can refer back more precisely to Hinduism and Buddhism for a lot of these practices of mindful breathing.

Somatic Breathwork

The body as a whole (soma) is a sensory image of the soul (psyche) “Soma” is an expression derived from the Greek word for body.

Breathwork in itself is a type of somatic therapy, the breath is a somatic sensation as the air in your nostrils and the rise of your diaphragm. We use mindfulness (smrti) directed towards the breath, and from that, we deeply connect to our body. From the physical to the sensory, from the sensory to the emotional to the energetic to the conscious. This experience can allow our emotions and pains, to arise, be seen, embraced, and released. In The Nature Within retreats, we share with you this profound breathwork experience

Buddhist Meditation

After Buddha’s enlightenment someone asked him to summarize what he experienced. He replied one word: (Bodhi) meaning wakefulness

This is a powerful metaphor for what we are doing on a path of meditation: awakening from the sleep of unawareness into the wakefulness of awareness. In the Buddhist canon, meditation is essentially; to become familiar with oneself, we start observing our thoughts, and words. With nothing particular to do, just watching the unfolding of the present moment. In The Nature Within retreat we share with you different basic, easy buddhist practices that will support your journey with the medicine.

Body Scan Meditation

In this practice we learn to meet sensations and all that is arising in our body with openness and non judgement. As a result we become more embodied and begin to lead our lives less from the thinking mind. This brings balance and supports the energy of speediness to rest.

Emerald Boa Meditation

In this meditation you will be giving thanks and also asking with love what it is that we are needing in this time to center ourselves deeper as the being of light that we are. These beings are here to support us to guide ourselves home. To start this meditation find a comfortable position.

Yes to Life Meditation

A powerful practice, which teaches us how to embrace whatever is showing up in our present experience. We learn how to bring acceptance as opposed to rejection to our emotions, thoughts and sensations that are arising in every moment. No matter if it is fear, sadness, pain, or joy.
